The short version (plain-language summary)
- Troi uses a small set of cookies and browser storage — only what's needed to log you in, keep the Service secure, and remember preferences you choose (like theme and language).
- We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers, and we don't sell or share your data through cookies.
- Strictly-necessary cookies (like your login token) are always on because the Service can't work without them.
- The only other items are functional preferences you set yourself (theme, language). Because we set no tracking or advertising cookies, we don't show a cookie-consent banner — there's nothing non-essential to consent to.
- You can clear or block any of these anytime in your browser.
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Kanah LLC ("we", "us", "Kanah") uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) on Troi (Troi Studio and Troi Life). It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal data more generally.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser mechanisms that let a site remember information between pages or visits. We use these to keep you signed in, protect your account, and remember preferences you set (theme, language). Some are set for the length of your session and disappear when you close your browser; others persist for a defined period.
3. The categories we use
We use only two categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Service to function. These keep you authenticated and protect against security threats. They cannot be switched off because the Service won't work without them, so they don't require consent.
- Functional preferences — remember choices you make yourself, such as your theme (light/dark) and language/locale, to give you a smoother experience. These are set only when you make the choice, are first-party, and are used for nothing other than remembering that preference.
We do not use:
- Analytics or measurement cookies,
- Advertising or targeting cookies, or
- Third-party trackers or data brokers.
We do not sell or share your personal data through cookies. Because we set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, we do not display a cookie-consent banner — there is nothing non-essential to consent to. If this ever changes (for example, if we add analytics), we will introduce a consent mechanism first and update this policy.

We set no analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies of any kind.
5. Your choices
Because Troi sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, there is no non-essential cookie to consent to, so we do not show a cookie-consent banner. The functional-preference items (theme, language) are created only when you make that choice, and are used solely to remember it.
- Strictly-necessary cookies load automatically because the Service can't work without them.
- Functional preferences can be cleared at any time from your browser (see Section 7); clearing them simply resets the preference to its default.
If we ever introduce analytics or any other non-essential cookie, we will add a consent mechanism (and, for EU/UK visitors, a prior-opt-in banner where rejecting is as easy as accepting) before it loads, and update this policy.
6. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and "Do Not Sell/Share"
We set no advertising or tracking cookies and do not sell or share your personal data, so there is nothing for a GPC signal to suppress. If your browser or extension sends Global Privacy Control, we honor it by continuing not to engage in any "sale" or "sharing" of personal data.

8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy if our use of cookies changes, and we'll update the version and last-updated date at the top. If we ever begin using non-essential (e.g. analytics) cookies, we'll add the appropriate consent controls before doing so.
